We provide two types of materials for driveways and three for patios and walkways. For driveways, you can choose between concrete and pavers, while patios and walkways also have the option of concrete slabs. Each material has its own set of advantages; read on to discover which option best suits your needs.

concrete driveway

Advantages of Concrete

  • Maintenance: Concrete has very little maintenance, you can seal your driveway if you wish, and this will have to happen every couple of years, but it is not mandatory.
  • Durability & Longevity: Concrete is known for its durability. However, with our winters cracks are common and should be expected after a couple of years.
  • Cost: Generally, the cost of a concrete driveway is less than a paver driveway upfront however, repairs in the future can often offset this cost.
  • Aesthetics: Concrete can be finished in many ways and can also be tinted, however there are significantly less options than pavers.
Paver Driveway

Advantages of Pavers

  • Maintenance: Pavers have the same amount of maintenance as concrete and can also be sealed. We highly recommend that you choose to use polymeric sand for a driveway application as this prevents weeds from growing between the gaps.
  • Durability & Longevity: Pavers are extremely durable as they are formed out of concrete. Unlike concrete there is no chance of cracking and repairs are much easier and cost-effective than with concrete.
  • Cost: The cost of a paver driveway is more upfront but there is no chance of cracking and repairs are much less costly than with concrete.
  • Aesthetics: The major benefit of paver driveways is the large catalog of products available in so many sizes, textures, colors, and shapes.
Backyard patio

Advantages of Concrete Slabs

  • Maintenance: Concrete slab patios have very little maintenance just like concrete and pavers.
  • Durability & Longevity: Slabs are extremely durable as they are formed out of concrete. Like pavers, there is little chance of cracking and repairs are much easier and cost-effective than with concrete and pavers.
  • Cost: The cost of slabs is often very similar to pavers; this can vary based on the products chosen though.
  • Aesthetics: Slabs much like pavers have many options for color, size, texture, and shape. They have fewer choices than pavers but still have plenty of options to fit what you are looking for.
